HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team fell short of Drexel, 2-0, in the season finale on Sunday afternoon in Hamden.

With the loss, the Bobcats finished the season 6-10 and 2-5 in the BIG EAST, while Drexel finished their regular season 14-5 and 4-2 in the CAA.

SCORING SUMMARY

Q3 – (32:14) – Off a penalty corner, Marti Sanabria put home the rebound off of a deflection to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead.
Q3 – (38:06) – Drexel would strike again as Pili Lemoine found Delfi Cabral to double the lead to two.

NOTES

Quinnipiac was outshot 13-5, with the Dragons leading in shots on goal, 11-3.
Nina Santore made six saves in the second half, while Cristina Torres made three saves to keep the Dragons off the board in the first half.
