Brown & Arakaki Win Twice to Begin Fall 2022

Fairfield, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's tennis wrapped up Day 1 of the Fairfield Invitational on Friday, Sept. 23.

The Bobcats took on the St. Francis Terriers and the Sacred Heart Pioneers in doubles matches. QU won four total doubles matchups, as Donovan Brown / Ayato Arakaki earned a pair of wins as a duo to lead the way.

Apostolou/Mello (Sacred Heart) Def. Andreas Whalen-Merediz / Shaurya Sood (QU): 6-4

NOTES

Donovan Brown / Ayato Arakaki won twice together. The All-MAAC First Team (No. 2 Doubles) pair from a season ago begins the new season with a 2-0 doubles mark.
Andreas Whalen-Merediz and Csanad Nyaradi each recorded their first victory as a Bobcat.
Andreas Whalen-Merediz teammed up with Shaurya Sood to defeat the St. Francis due of Stambouli/ Seno (7-5).
Kemal Karagozoglu / Csanad Nyaradi also won (7-5) over Goncalves/Vencl of Sacred Heart.
