Sood Wins Twice, Brown Wins at #6 Singles to Help Bobcats Earn 4th MAAC Win

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's tennis earned an impressive MAAC victory on the road at Fairfield, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon.

With the victory, the Bobcats move to 4-1 in conference play. QU has won three consecutive MAAC contests vs. Marist, Rider and Fairfield.

Shaurya Sood won two matches for Quinnipiac to lead the way. Donovan Brown won the clincher at No. 6 singles – a three-set victory.

NOTES

Javier Casasolas Monllor/Shaurya Sood won at No. 1 doubles together, their third MAAC victory as a duo this spring.
Kemal Karagozoglu picked up QU's first point of the day from the No. 5 singles position, earning a three-set victory. He battled back after losing the first set (1-6, 6-2, 6-3).
Ayato Arakaki won again from the No. 1 singles spot. He has three MAAC singles wins so far in 2022.
Shaurya Sood won at No. 3 singles over Olive-Blanco (2-6, 7-6 (10), 6-4). Sood also has three singles wins in MAAC play.
Donovan Brown won the clincher from the No. 6 position, battling to a three-set win (2-6, 7-5, 6-3).
