UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Quinnipiac men's basketball battled on the road on Thursday evening, falling at Penn State by the final score of 77-68 from the Bryce Jordan Center.

Tyrese Williams reached 1,000 career points for the Bobcats. He led Quinnipiac with 16 points – knocking down four 3-pointers. The graduate student reaches the milestone over 116 games (all at QU).

NOTES

The Bobcats shot 22-71 (31.0%) in total, hitting 12 3-pointers for the game.
Tyrese Williams becomes the 44^th player in Quinnipiac program history to reach 1,000 career points. He's the 18^th player to reach the mark at the Division I level.
Tymu Chenery added 12 points, six rebounds and four assists. He played a team-high 35:38 in total.
Ike Nweke chipped in with 12 points and three rebounds, going 5-for-8 from the field. He posted a +8 plus/minus rating.
Matt Balanc added eight points and seven rebounds, Dezi Jones recorded eight points, four rebounds and two assists.
Paul Otieno earned his fourth double-digit rebound total of the season, grabbing 10 boards in the loss.
The Bobcats outrebounded Penn State 48-40. QU grabbed 17 offensive rebounds, and QU outscored Penn State 15-9 in the second-chance category.
The meeting between Quinnipiac and Penn State is the first between the two programs.
