HAMDEN, Conn. – Olivia Howard, Stella Tegtmeier and Lucia Pompeo each scored to lead the Bobcats in their 3-0 shutout victory over Sacred Heart in Hamden on Sunday afternoon.

Cristina Torres made four saves in the shutout win.

SCORING SUMMARY

Q1 – (1:25) – Eva Veldhorst inserted the ball on a penalty corner and Micaela Grajales stopped it and passed it to Olivia Howard who scored.
Q3 – (35:51) – Stella Tegtmeier gained possession near midfield and dribbled the ball all the way into the half circle and shot and scored.
Q4 – (55:39) – Julianna Cappello took a shot and Lucia Pompeo was there to score off the rebound.

NOTES

After the win, QU field hockey finishes the season with eight wins, the most since the 2015 season where they finished with nine victories.
Olivia Howard scored her first goal of the season.
Stella Tegtmeier scored her eighth goal of the season to tie for the team lead in goals.
Tegtmeier also leads the team in points with 24.
Lucia Pompeo scored her seventh goal of the season to finish in second on the team in goals.
This was the Bobcats fourth shutout of the season, that is the most shutout victories they have had in a season since 2013 where they finished with seven.
