Selena Salas Signs with UDG Tenerife

GRANADILLA de ABONA, Canary Islands - Selena Salas '21 (Quinnipiac women's soccer) has signed to play with the Unión Deportiva Granadilla Tenerife football club, commonly shortened as UDG Tenerife.
UDG Tenerife is based in Granadilla de Abona in the Canary Islands and is a Spanish women's football club. The club plays in the Primera Division, which is the highest level of competition for women's football in Spain. It is the women's equivalent to the men's La Liga and is run by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The Primera Division is one of the six national leagues ranked by UEFA and is considered one of the most important women's leagues in Europe.

Salas completed her senior year at Quinnipiac this past season with the women's soccer program, leading the team to a thrilling MAAC Championship run. The forward led the team with a career-high 29 points on eight goals and 13 assists, and led the team to a program-best 13-5-1 overall record. She was also named to the 2021 NEWISA All-New England Second Team, the NEWISA Senior Bowl team and Division I All-ECAC Team. In the MAAC, Salas earned a spot on the All-MAAC First Team.
