Selena Salas Earns QU's Third Straight MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Award

EDISON, N.J. - Senior Selena Salas was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for her performance from Sept. 6-12, as announced by the conference on Monday, Sept. 13.
The senior midfielder scored two goals and notched one assist for five points through two games played last week. Salas netted her second and third penalty kick goals of the season - she scored the game-winning goal against Vermont on Sept. 8 and tallied the Bobcats's first goal against Fordham on Sept. 12. Salas also recorded an assists on sophomore Rebecca Cooke's goal against Fordham in the 3-2 win.
Salas is second on the team in points with 10 points on four goals and two assists. She leads the team with two game-winning goals. Her four goals is ranked seventh in the MAAC and her 10 points is ranked fourth in the conference.
Quinnipiac will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 19 on the road at Columbia. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
