HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team dropped its home opener to Fairfield, 3-0, on Friday, Sept. 10. First year Emilia Massarelli led the team with four shots, and sophomore Nina Santore made one save in the net.

For Fairfield, Agustina Casteluchi, Gabby Saxon and Radebaugh all received green cards.
Fairfield's goalies, Zoe Rosen and Payton Rahn, did not have to make a save.
