LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Despite 14 kills apiece from Aryanah Diaz and Alexandra Tennon, the sixth-seeded Quinnipiac volleyball team came up short against second-seeded Rider in straight sets in the MAAC Semifinals inside of the UHY Center on Saturday evening.

Diaz added eight digs, while Maggie Baker contributed 10 kills and seven digs in the loss.

SET ONE (25-23, Rider)
The two sides played to a 6-6 tie in the set until Quinnipiac pushed ahead 11-7. Quinnipiac led by as much as 14-10 before Rider fought back to tie the set at 18-18. The two teams traded points to a 21-21 tie before the Broncs took four of the next points to secure the set win.

SET TWO (27-25)
The two sides traded points to a 6-6 tie before the Bobcats went on a 4-0 run to push ahead 10-6. Quinnipiac pushed ahead 16-10 before Rider went on an 8-2 run to tie the set at 18-18. Rider and Quinnipiac went back and forth to a 25-25 tie until Rider took two straight points to go up 2-0 in sets.

SET THREE (25-20)
Quinnipiac and Rider remained even to an 18-18 tie in the set until Rider pushed ahead 21-18. After the Bobcats cut the deficit to 21-20, Rider scored four straight points to secure the set and match victory.
