Whipkey Scores in Overtime to Send the Bobcats Past the Bulldogs

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team won its first game of the season in a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against Yale. Redshirt senior Brooke Whipkey netted the game-winning goal in overtime, and first-year Emilia Massarelli scored twice to send the Bobcats past the Bulldogs in the Battle of Whitney Ave.
Junior goalie Mack Vorel made eight saves in the win and earned her first victory of the season.
