Softball to Face UConn in Final Non-Conference Game of the Season

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac softball team is set to face the UConn Huskies in the final non-conference game of the season. The Bobcats will travel to Storrs, Conn., on Tuesday, April 30 for a single-game 3 p.m., start. Quinnipiac stands at 16-29 overall with a 7-9 MAAC conference record, and UConn is 19-27 overall and 7-11 in the American Athletic Conference.

A Look at the MAAC
Monmouth and Marist are tied with an 11-3 record at the top of the MAAC leaderboard. Siena (10-4) and Iona (11-5) follow in third and fourth place. Fairfield is tied for fifth with Niagara with a 9-7 record. Quinnipiac holds the seventh spot with a 7-9 record. Canisius, Manhattan, Rider and Saint Peter's fall in the bottom four. The top six teams will advance to the MAAC Championship Tournament after this weekend's final conference games.

- Senior Erin Larsen is second on the team with a .306 average and leads the Bobcats with three home runs. In MAAC play, Larsen has been walked 27 times, which is ranked third overall. She also holds a .472 slugging percentage, which ranks eighth, and a .460 on-base percentage, which stands at fourth overall.
- Freshman Bridget Nasir ranks 10th in the MAAC in assists with 76.
- Senior Kendall Brundrett has recorded 86 strikeouts through 140.1 innings pitched, which is tied for eighth-best in the MAAC.
- Freshman Lauren King's ERA of 2.47 is ranked fifth overall in the MAAC. The Clearbrook, Va., native has finished 18 games and pitched 21 games in relief, which lead the MAAC in both categories. King has never allowed a triple to be hit while she has been in the circle.
- Senior Rebecca Drake has recorded a perfect fielding percentage through 44 games played. She is ranked third in conference play with 13 doubles.
- Freshman Alexis Otero has been solid on defense for the Bobcats with 267 putouts, which ranks fifth in the MAAC.
