Bobcats Finish With a Winning Record for the First Time Since 2013-14

NEWARK, NJ – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell in the opening round of the Collegeinsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT) on Monday night, dropping the contest by the final score of 92-81.

With the loss, the Bobcats' impressive 2018-19 season comes to an end. Quinnipiac finishes with a 16-15 overall record – the program's first winning season since 2013-14. The Bobcats earned a postseason appearance for just the fifth time in program history, playing in the opening round of the CIT for the third time ever.

Cameron Young led the way offensively with 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting. He finishes his Quinnipiac career with 1,350 total points in 70 games with the Bobcats – setting a new career program record by averaging 19.3 points per game.

Quinnipiac went 30-of-61 (49.2 percent) from the floor, knocking down 10 3-point field goals for the 24^th time this season.
The Bobcats finish the year with a program-record 348 made shots from distance, ranking No. 3 nationally in 3-pointers per contest.
Young's 29 points came via 11-of-19 shooting in total, as the graduate guard nailed three 3-point shots. The 2018-19 MAAC Player of the Year ends his historic stretch at Quinnipiac ranking No. 18 all-time in career points (1,350).
Aaron Robinson added 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, his fourth-highest point total of the season. The senior guard went 3-of-4 from the 3-point line in 17 minutes on the floor.
Rich Kelly added 11 points and a team-best six assists, shooting 4-of-11 from the field.
Kevin Marfo grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds, finishing the season averaging 7.5 rebounds per contest. He also chipped in with six points on the night.
Senior Abdulai Bundu added nine points and five rebounds, finishing his Quinnipiac career with 720 points and 686 assists – just the fourth player in Division I program history to surpass the 600-point/600-rebound mark.
Quinnipiac won 11 MAAC games, marking just the second time since joining the conference that the Bobcats have earned 10+ victories.
Head Coach Baker Dunleavy has led Quinnipiac to an 18-18 MAAC record over his first two seasons, defeating each conference foe at least once during his time in Hamden. Under Dunleavy, the Bobcats won 8 of their last 12 regular season contests in 2018-19 to earn the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Tournament – tied for the program's highest finish since joining the conference.
