AZUSA, California - No. 4 Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling fell to No. 3 Azusa Pacific, 283.170-282.860, in its final meet out west on March 13. The loss snaps the Bobcats' four-meet win streak and drops Quinnipiac to 4-2. Azusa Pacific moves to 4-0 with the victory.

NOTES:

Quinnipiac obtained three event wins against Azusa Pacific.
The Bobcats also obtained eight heat victories throughout the evening.
Quinnipiac's most-successful part of the night was when the Bobcats struck for three-straight heat victories in the Compulsory Event, including back-to-back 9.90 scores in the Pyramid and Toss Heats.
Alexandria Barnes scored three heat victories for Quinnipiac in the Compulsory Event to spark the Bobcats' momentum.
Quinnipiac also stormed out of the gates in the second half, sweeping the Toss Event where Erin Redding picked up victories in all three heats.

EVENTS
Compulsory
Quinnipiac jumped out to a quick lead, defeating Azusa Pacific in the Compulsory Event, 38.50-38.30. The Bobcats struck for three straight scores over 9.00 including back-to-back 9.90 in the Pyramid Heat and the Toss Heat. Alexandria Barnes had three heat victories for Quinnipiac in the Compulsory Event.
Acro
The Bobcats continued their strong start, defeating the Cougars, 29.10-28.75, in the Acro Event. The Bobcats picked up wins in two of the three heats (5 Element, 7 Element).
Pyramid
Quinnipiac dropped the third event of the evening, falling to Azusa Pacific, 29.35-29.20. The Bobcats did pick up a victory in the Open Heat of The Pyramid Event. Even with the Pyramid Event loss, Quinnipiac led going into halftime, 96.80-96.40.
Toss
The Bobcats returned to their winning ways when they dominated the Toss Event, 29.8-27.9, sweeping all three heats in the event to take back the lead heading into Tumbling Event. Erin Redding had victories in all three heats.
Tumbling
Azusa Pacific used a strong Tumbling Event to answer Quinnipiac's strong Toss Event. The Cougars swept all six heats on their way to a 57.750-56.350 victory in the event.
Team
The Cougars narrowly inched out the Bobcats, 101.120-100.560, to win the Team Event along with obtaining the victory for the meet, 283.170-282.860.
