- Allison Kuhn (Kingsville, Maryland) struck for her first two goals of the season, with the first goal coming less-than two minutes into the opening half to give Quinnipiac the 1-0 lead. Her first goal was also the first goal at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium in women's lacrosse's program history. Her second came with 9:40 to play in the first half off an assist from Emily Byrne (Huntington, New York).
- The Bobcats continued their strong start with another goal, this time by Victoria Bobinski (Kinnelon, New Jersey), her second of the season to give Quinnipiac a 2-0 lead early in the first half. Her sister, Ashley, picked up her first assist of the season on the play.
- Yale responded with five unanswered goals to take a 5-2 lead before Quinnipiac answered with two more to pull within a goal, 5-4. Byrne scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year in the run.
- After Yale went on another run to take a 9-4 lead, Kayla Moreau (Pearl River, New York) struck for a goal with 17:35 to play in the second half, cutting Yale's lead to 9-5.
- Ashley Bobinkski scored twice in the second half for her second two-goal outings in as many games. Her first goal came with 12:03 to play in the second half to cut Yale's lead to 11-6, before following with another marker just 90 seconds later to cut Yale's lead to 11-7. The two goals were her third and fourth goals of the season after scoring twice against Brown in her last time out.
- Jenna Henningsen (East Kingston, New Hampshire) scored her first goal of the season for Quinnipiac with 3:49 in the second half to cut Yale's lead to 12-8 . Henningsen's goal came off an assist from Avery Drouin (Derry, New Hampshire) for the freshman's first point of her Quinnipiac career.
- Quinnipiac's Kyle Larkin (Brightwaters, New York) posted a season-high 14 saves in goal for the Bobcats.
STORYLINES HEADING INTO 2018
- In the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the Bobcats were chosen to finish sixth in the MAAC this season. The top six finishers qualify for the MAAC Tournament, which will be held on Apr. 28 through May 6.
- Quinnipiac had a record-setting 2017 as clinched a berth in the MAAC Tournament berth for the first time in program history with an 11-10 win over Siena on Apr. 19, 2017.
- The Bobcats advanced but fell to Marist, 17-10, in the opening round of the MAAC Tournament.
- Senior defender Kiera Kelly (West Islip, N.Y.) was named to the 2018 Preseason All-MAAC Team, as chosen by the league's coaches.
- Kelly had the strongest season of her career to date for the Bobcats in 2017, tallying 55 ground balls and 40 caused turnovers, which ranked second all-time in Quinnipiac history, while the 55 ground balls placed fourth.
- Her 2.35 caused turnovers per game led the MAAC and ranked ninth in the country while Kelly's 3.24 ground balls per game ranked second in the MAAC and placed her 17th nationally.
- Kelly became the first student-athlete in program history to earn All-ECAC First Team honors with her selection in 2017. She was also the lone representative from the MAAC and one of only seven non-seniors to earn All-ECAC honors last year.
- Ashley Bobinski(Kinnelon, New Jersey) and Haley Everding (Fayetteville, New York) earned their way onto the All-MAAC Rookie Team.
- Bobinski was ranked third in the Bobcats' lineup with 21 goals and collected 31 points for Quinnipiac while playing in all 17 games.
- Everding started all 17 games for Quinnipiac and logged the most minutes for the Bobcats while finishing second in caused turnovers (21) and fourth on the team in ground balls (21).
- Everding finished with the fewest turnovers on the team among players who started at least 10 games
