Nationally-ranked No. 19 and ECAC Hockey Championship fifth-seed Quinnipiac men's ice hockey will face No. 2 Harvard, the top-seeded team in the league tournament, in the tournament semifinals on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 4:05 p.m. at 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New, York.

HEAD COACH RAND PECKNOLD
• Rand Pecknold is currently in his 23rd season as the Bobcats head coach in 2016-17.
• In 2015-16, Pecknold was honored with the Spencer Penrose National Coach of the Year Award, the College Hockey News National Coach of the Year as well as the ECAC Hockey Tim Taylor Coach of the Year Award.
• To date, Pecknold features a career record of 469-278-85 and currently ranks sixth among all active NCAA Division I coaches in career victories.
BOBCAT BITES
• Since Quinnipiac qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2012-13 through last season Quinnipiac had the second-most wins (109) among all NCAA Division I programs in the country.
• This past season marked the Bobcats fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, as well as their second appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four and National Championship Game in the last four seasons.
• In addition, the Bobcats captured their second-consecutive Cleary Cup, for the ECAC Hockey Regular-Season Championship, which was also their third in four seasons.
• Quinnipiac also won its first-ever Whitelaw Cup after winning the league's tournament championship.
• The Bobcats were also the first team since Michigan in 1997 to finish the year with just four losses for the season as Quinnipiac posted a 32-4-7 overall record as well as a 16-1-5 record in ECAC Hockey action.
ECAC HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP
• Following a series sweep of Brown in the ECAC Hockey Championship Series at High Point Solutions Arena on Mar. 3-4, the Bobcats traveled to Canton, New York where they bounced back from a 2-0 loss in Game 1 to take Games 2 and by a score of 3-2 to advance to the tournament semifinals.
• The other ECAC Hockey Championship Semifinal will feature Union and Cornell, with the winner from both games to play for the Whitelaw Cup on Saturday, Mar. 18 at 7 p.m.

• Quinnipiac enters the ECAC Hockey Championship Semifinals with a record of 23-13-3 overall and 13-8-1 in league action.
• Quinnipiac's series win against St. Lawrence gave the Bobcats their fifth-consecutive appearance in the ECAC Hockey Championship Semifinals. The last team to accomplish that was Cornell from 2009 through 2012.
• With its win on Friday, Mar. 2, Quinnipiac reached the 20-win mark for the 17th time in the program's history and the 16th time in head coach Rand Pecknold's 23-year career.
• Quinnipiac has now posted a non-losing season for the 20th-straight year.

• The Bobcats' Quarterfinals Series win at St. Lawrence marked the second time in Quinnipiac's ECAC Hockey history that it won a second-round series on the road. The first time was at Cornell in 2007.

ANDREW SHORTRIDGE NOTES
• Quinnipiac freshman goalie Andrew Shortridge (Anchorage, Alaska) enters the weekend at 13-6-0 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.03 goals-against average.
• In 14 ECAC Hockey appearances, including nine starts, Shortridge is 7-2-0 with a .934 save percentage and a 1.74 goals against average.
• In seven starts at High Point Solutions Arena, Shortridge is 7-2-0 with a .924 save percentage and a 1.88 GAA.
• Among all NCAA Division I goalies since Dec. 28, 2016, Shortridge ranks 9th in winning percentage (.733, 11-4-0), 8th in save percentage (.930) and 5th in goals-against average (1.82).
• Among ECAC Hockey goalies, only Harvard's Merrick Madsen has a better winning percentage, leaving Shortridge as the conference leader in the other two categories.
• In five postseason games, Shortridge is 4-1 with a .938 save percentage and a 1.63 GAA, leading all ECAC Hockey goalies in goals-against average and wins.
• For the month of February, Andrew Shortridge led all ECAC Hockey goalies with a 1.78 GAA while going 4-1-0 with a .924 save percentage.

LANDON SMITH NOTES
• Quinnipiac junior Landon Smith (Greenwood Village, Colorado) currently leads the Bobcats with 29 points, on the strength of 11 goals and 18 assists.
• Against Brown in the first round last weekend, Smith had a goal and an assist in Game 1 and also scored in Game 2.
• Smith saw a five-game point streak end in Game 1 of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals in which he scored five goals and assisted on two more. In his last 12 games, he has five goals and six assists for 11 points.
• Smith was Quinnipiac's only 20-point scorer in conference contests, as he scored a team-high eight goals to go along with 12 assists for 20 points in 22 ECAC Hockey games played.
•Smith is the Bobcats active career leader in assists (59) to go along with his 38 career goals for 97 points through 121 games as a junior.
• Smith boasts the team's lone hat trick for the 2016-17 season after scoring three times in a 6-3 win against Dartmouth on Nov. 11.
• In seven games for the month of February, Smith scored three goals and passed out four assists for a team-high seven points.
• Smith currently ranks 30th among all NCAA Division I hockey players with 97 career points.
• Smith's 38 career goals are tied for 42nd nationally.

CHASE PRISKIE NOTES
• Sophomore Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) checks-in with seven goals and 19 assists for the year.
• Priskie also leads the Bobcats in power-play assists (14) and power-play points (18).
• The bulk of Priskie's offensive numbers have come in the second half of the season in which he has totaled six goals and eight assists for 14 points in the Bobcats' last 17 games.
• In 22 ECAC Hockey games, Priskie's 16 points were second in the Bobcats' line-up, while his 13 assists matched Brogan Rafferty's output for the team high.
CRAIG MARTIN NOTES
• Sophomore Craig Martin (Trail, British Columbia) put up career highs in all offensive categories this season and currently sits at 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points.
• Martin posted a three-point game in Game 2 of the ECAC Hockey Quartefinals, with two goals and one assist, to even the series and force the deciding Game 3.
• Against Brown, Martin led Quinnipiac with two assists in Game 1 of the series.
• Martin has totaled a team-high seven goals and five assists on the power play this year.
• His five game-winning goals are a team-high.
• His 41 blocked shots leads all of the team's forwards.
• Totaled two goals and six assists for eight points in six games for the month of January.
BO PIEPER NOTES
• Junior Bo Pieper (Roseville, Minnesota) entered the season with eight goals and 14 assists through his first two seasons with the Bobcats. As a junior this year, Pieper has scored a team-leading 13 goals while assisting on 11 more for 24 points in 39 games played.
• Against Brown, Pieper had a goal and an assist in the series-clinching Game 2 victory.
• Pieper followed with a two-assist showing in Quinnipiac Game 3 victory against St. Lawrence in the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals.
• Pieper's eight goals in ECAC Hockey play are tied for the team lead with Landon Smith and Tim Clifton.
• Quinnipiac is 12-0-1 in the 13 games in which Pieper has scored.

BROGAN RAFFERTY NOTES
• Quinnipiac freshman Brogan Rafferty (Dundee, Illinois) currently leads the Bobcats with 22 assists while his two goals for the year also give him 24 points - good for second in Quinnipiac's line-up.
• Should Rafferty's assist lead hold through the season, he would be the first Quinnipiac freshman to lead the team in helpers since Matthew Peca totaled 31 in 2011-12.
• Rafferty would also be the fifth freshman in Quinnipiac's NCAA Division I history to lead the team in assists, joining Peca, Bryan Leitch (31, 2005-06), Reid Cashman (19, 2003-04) and Brian Herbert (32, 1999-00).
TIM CLIFTON NOTES
• Quinnipiac senior assistant captain Tim Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) is tied with Bo Pieper with a team-leading 13 goals to go-along with 12 assists for 25 points for the year.
• Against Brown, Clifton had a goal in Game 1 and an assist in Game 2.
• Clifton, Pieper and Landon Smith have all scored a team-high eight goals against ECAC Hockey competition.
• Seven of Clifton's 13 goals have come on the power-play, good for the team lead in that category.
• Clifton also leads Quinnipiac with a .583 (540-387) winning percentage in face-offs.
• In addition, his 36 blocked shots are second to Craig Martin's 41 among the team's forwards.

• K.J. Tiefenwerth's (Bellmore, New York) assist on Alex Whelan's goal against Brown on Saturday, Feb. 25 was his career-high 14th of the season.
• Tiefenwerth now has three goals and 15 assists for 18 points for the year.
• Tiefenwerth led Quinnipiac with a goal and an assist in Game 1 of the Bobcats' First Round series against Brown.
• He's also one of six players to dress for all 36 of Quinnipiac's games this season.

CONNOR CLIFTON NOTES
• Heading into the final weekend of January against Arizona State, Connor Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey) was riding an eight-game scoreless streak. Since then, he's totaled five goals and four assists for eight points in his last 12 games to give him seven goals and seven assists for the season.
• Clifton also leads Quinnipiac with 68 blocked shots to date.
• Clifton scored in both games in Quinnipiac's first round series against Brown. Only he and Landon Smith accomplished the feat.

• Derek Smith (Apple Valley, Minnesota) has picked up 11 assists in 31 games played to date.

• A senior captain, Smith's 11 assists this season make him the eighth defenseman in Quinnipiac's NCAA Division I era to hit double digits in helpers in three consecutive seasons.

• Cukste has been on the ice for a team-high 32 of Quinnipiac's 78 even-strength goals while is a team-leading +13.
• Against ECAC Hockey teams on his home ice, Cukste has scored twice and assisted on six more goals.
TANNER MACMASTER NOTES
• Tanner MacMaster has had a quiet, yet rock solid third season with the Bobcats, scoring eight goals to go with 11 assists for 19 points in 31 games played.
• MacMaster totaled four goals and five assists for nine points in 15 ECAC Hockey games played.
