
QU Women's Ice Hockey Ranked No. 10 in Final Major Polls of Regular Season

HAMDEN, Connecticut - Quinnipiac women's ice hockey has been ranked No. 10 nationally in both the latest USCHO.com Poll and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll, as announced on Feb. 13 & Feb. 14, 2017. The Bobcats played to a 1-1 draw this past Saturday, Feb. 11, at No. 3/3 St. Lawrence, then fell, 1-0, on Sunday, Feb. 12, at No. 4/5 Clarkson.
Emma Woods (Burford, Ontario) score the Bobcats lone goal during Saturday's tie, with assists from Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) and Randi Marcon (Winnipeg, Manitoba). Senior goaltender Sydney Rossman (Excelsior, Minnesota) made 41 total saves on the weekend, surrendering just two goals over two games.
Clarkson (No. 3), St. Lawrence (No. 5), Cornell (No. 7) and Princeton (No. 9) were the other four ECAC teams ranked in the USCHO.com Poll.
Quinnipiac hosts RPI and Union this coming weekend at High Point Solutions Arena in Hamden for its final two regular season games. The Bobcats take on RPI at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, then host Union (Senior Day) on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m.
