NORFOLK, Virginia – The Quinnipiac field hockey team's comeback fell short at Old Dominion as the Bobcats dropped a hard-fought 3-2 decision in Norfolk, Virigina.
The Bobcats struck for two goals in under three minutes as Michelle Federico (Cheshire, Connecticut) and Lauren Belskie (Hillsborough, New Jersey) scored to pull the Bobcats within one but the Monarchs held on for the victory.

- Federico's goal came with 19:32 remaining to put the Bobcats on the board and pull them within two goals.
- The goal was the Bobcats' co-captain's fifth of the season, good for second on the team.
- With an assist on Belskie's goal almost three minutes later, Federico now has a team-leading 15 points on the season.
- Montana Fleming's (Delran, New Jersey) blast from outside the circle found Federico's stick for her second assist of the season.
- Belskie's goal came with a pinch under 17 minutes remaining in the game and was a hard-hit strike off of one of the Bobcats' five penalty corners.
- The goal was Belskie's team-leading sixth goal of the season and her fourth in BIG EAST play, good for fourth between BIG EAST competitors.
- On the goal, Belskie also pushed her points total up to eight during BIG EAST play, which stands as the sixth most in the BIG EAST.
- Dayna Barlow ( Port Elizabeth, South Africa) picked up an assist as the setter on Belskie's goal. The helper was her third assist of the season and her 12th point of the season, which places her third on the team in points.
