
QU Women's Golf's Luciana Tobia Named Corvias ECAC Women's Golf Rookie of the Month

Quinnipiacwomen's golf freshman Luciana Tobia (La Paz, Bolivia) was named the Corvais ECAC Women's Golf Rookie of the Month, as announced by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference on Thursday, April 7.
Tobia posted back-to-back Top 10 finishes in her first two Spring contests of the 2015-16 season. Tobia's strong start to her career has resulted in a team-leading 77.6 average.
The freshman began the spring season with a sixth-place showing at the Lady Eaglecat Invitational at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida. Tobia carded a two-round total of 156 (+10), using a tournament-best four birdies to post a second-round 77. She then followed up with another top-10 finish at the Bearcat Spring Classic in Florida. The Bolivian shot 232 over the three-round event, her second-best 54-hole total of the season, to finish in a tie for eighth in a field of 100 golfers.
