While, the duo of Yannone and Axel Stern (Tustin, California) and Freddie Zaretsky (Fair Lawn, New Jersey) and Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) earned wins in doubles play.
As the day began in singles play, the Bobcats duo of Ezaka and Zaretsky set the tone for the day. The Quinnipiac duo was able to defeat the Bryant duo of Josh Kliger and Jorge Ortiz-Garcia, 8-6. Stern and Yannone then competed in a hard-fought match against Matt Kuhar and Scott Plutt of Bryant. The duos went back-and-forth, eventually forcing a tie-breaker set, where the Bobcats came out on top 8-7 (8-4).
The Bobcats dropped the final two doubles matches of the day when Luke Lorenz and Artur Jakubowski defeated Haraguchi and Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California), 8-1. That followed when Jorge Isaias and Andrew Quiros of Bryant downed Rozenstein and Koke in a competitive 8-6 match.
Singles play then ensued and Rozenstein got the ball rolling against Boston University's Lucas Bombanatti. Rozenstein was able to cruise through the match, winning 6-0 and 6-3 in straight sets. Stern then followed with a match of his own against Satyajit Simhadri. Stern was able to jump out ahead quickly, winning the first set 6-2. However, Simhadri was able to turn the tide and take the following two sets and the match, 6-1 in straight.
The Bobcats tried to get on track and nearly did when Cachapero took to the court against Marc Sable. Sable took the first set 6-2 but Cachapero gave him a run for his money in the second. The two battled it out but Sable narrowly took the victory 7-6 (7) in tiebreakers.
The Bobcats did get back on track and finished strong in the final two singles matches of the day. Haraguchi closed the day for the Bobcats by beating Guido Argenti of Bryant, 6-4 in straight sets.
