Freshman Luciana Tobia had a big month to start her Quinnipiac career. The freshman from La Paz, Bolivia made an immediate impression in her first time out at the Chesapeake Bay Invitational, leading Quinnipiac and finishing eighth overall.
- Tobia's 54-hole score (231) was the second-best in program history, just two strokes off the mark by Scola at the 2013 Yale Women's Fall Invitational.
- Tobia then tied the program's 18-hole record with a 70 for the second round of the Dartmouth Invitational. Tobia shot a 79 for the first round, but signed off on a scorecard that indicated a 78 – which she reported herself – and was ultimately disqualified.
- Tobia currently boasts a team-leading 75.25 per 18-hole average, tops among all Bobcat golfers.
- At Dartmouth, Quinnipiac broke two team records with the best 18-hole (304) and 36-hole (632) score in program history.
- The Bobcats' second-round score beat the 313 which was set on the second round of the Brown Bear Invitational on Apr. 13, 2015.
- In addition, Quinnipiac bested its all-time best team round of 633, which was set at last year's MAAC Championship.
- After missing the first tournament of the season, Nicole Scola led the Bobcats at Dartmouth, bouncing back from an 80 on Saturday to shoot a 77 (+5) for the second round on Sunday.
- Scola's 157 (+13) was good for a tie of 16th place – up five spots from the previous days' finish.
- Through her first tournament of the year, Scola checks in with a 78.50 average per 18 holes, good for second among all QU golfers.
- With five birdies at the Dartmouth Invitational, Scola took the lead in career birdies with 56 for her career. Jenn Whaley - who entered the season with a program record 52 had three at Dartmouth to give her 55 for her career.
- Freshman Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) shed three strokes off her score from the first day of play (80) at the Dartmouth Invitational to shoot a 77 for the second round and head into the clubhouse with a 159 (+15) for a tie of 21st place.
- Kemmling currently leads Quinnipiac with 12 birdies through the first five rounds of her career.
- Caitlan Blydenburgh (Castleton, New York) also dropped three strokes to finish two shots behind Kemmling and tied for 27th place at Dartmouth. Blydenburgh shot an 82 on Saturday and improved to a 79 on Sunday for a two-day 161 (+17).
- Blydenburgh ranks third among all Quinnipiac golfers with a 80.00 average per 18 holes played.
