QU Women's Basketball Head Coach Tricia Fabbri Interview Set to Air on AM 1220 WQUN at 5:40 PM Thursday

HAMDEN, Connecticut - Quinnipiac University women's basketball head coach Tricia Fabbri is set to appear on WQUN - 1220 AM at 5:40 pm on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015. Coach Fabbri spoke with AM 1220 WQUN Assistant General Manager Steve Savino earlier this week and the 10 minute interview is set to air this evening a little more than an hour before the Bobcats' tip-off against Marist College from the TD Bank Sports Center. Quinnipiac is now in its fourth straight season of consistent success as the Bobcats are 89-30 (.748 winning percentage) since the 2011-12 season. The Bobcats are also a dominating 34-4 (89.5winning percentage) since the 2012-13 season at the TD Bank Sports Center. This current senior class is the winningest in Coach Fabbri's 20-year tenure at Quinnipiac while Fabbri also reached a significant milestone earlier this season as she notched her 300th career victory with a 67-66 win at her alma mater Fairfield on Dec. 7.
Coach Fabbri has built this Quinnipiac women's basketball program into a perennial power that puts its 16-3 record and 8-0 mark in the MAAC on the line tonight against Marist (11-6, 7-1 MAAC) the second place team in the conference. This is the first meeting between both teams since the Bobcats' heartbreaking loss to the Red Foxes in the 2014 MAAC Championship, 70-66, held in Springfield, Massachusetts. The winner of tonight's game will claim the top spot in the MAAC standings as the Bobcats hope to continue their impressive start to conference play with a victory over the lone MAAC institution that Quinnipiac hasn't defeated.
