
QU Women's Golf Completes Second Day Of Yale Women's Intercollegiate In 17th Place

The Quinnipiac University women's golf improved on their first day score, but remain in 17th place at the 2014 Yale Women's Intercollegiate at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn.
Nicole Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island) improved by a stroke on her first-day score with a 79 (+8) for the second round to bring her to 159 (+17) and tied for 54th place heading into the final day. Scola's 159 is the 10th best 36-hole score in Quinnipiac history. Freshman Estefania Morales (Caracas, Venezuela) shot an 82 (+11) to go along with an 81 on Friday to put her at 163 (+21) and tied for 67th place.

Emily Ribbins (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands) shed a stroke from Friday's score, turning in an 86 (+15) to put her at 173 (+31) and in 84th place. Alexa Gentile (Avon, Connecticut) showed the most improvement of all five Quinnipiac golfers, as her card read 85 (+14), a five-stroke improvement from the previous day. Her 175 (+33) puts her in 85th place. Angelica Muscatelli (North Providence, Rhode Island) heads into Sunday in 88th place at 198 (+56) after two days.

Yale I leads the field, followed by Xavier and Harvard tied for second place. Seton Hall and Boston University round-out the top five, followed by Penn, Rutgers and Brown tied for seventh, and Boston College and West Florida filling in the Top 10. LIU Brooklyn, Yale II, Dartmouth, Albany, Central Connecticut State and Sacred Heart fill in in front of Quinnipiac.
The Bobcats will play the final 18 holes of Yale's 54-hole tournament on Sunday, Sept. 28.
