
QU Men's Tennis Remains Unbeaten, Sweeps UConn in Non-Conference Match

Storrs, Connecticut – The Quinnipiac men's tennis team put its undefeated record on the line when it traveled to face the UConn Huskies and remain perfect on the season by sweeping the Huskies, 7-0.
Quinnipiac did not drop a single match on the day as the Bobcats had the perfect sweep.
Starting the afternoon with doubles, the Bobcats sent Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) and Jonas Kuwert (Jesteberg, Germany) to battle with UConn's Jacob Spreyer and Christopher Toner in the No. 1 doubles match. Ezaka and Kuwert came through with the win, 8-5.
In No. 2 doubles, it was Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, New York) and Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) who teamed up to take on Jonathon Edwards and Parker Goldstein and the Bobcats duo cruised to the victory, 8-2.
The final matchup in doubles took a tiebreak set to decide, but ultimately Quinnipiac's Luke Roser (Bernardsville, New Jersey) and Willem van Biezen (Warmond, The Netherlands) defeated Joshua Palmer and Zac McEntee, 8-7 (4).
Quinnipiac continued its winning ways in singles, winning every single match.
Ezaka had one the longest battle of the afternoon playing No. 1 doubles against Spreyer in a match that took three sets and a tiebreak to decide, with Ezaka ultimately pulling through with the win, 7-6 (4), 5-7, 13-11.
No. 2 singles proved to be much of the same as Kuwert had little difficulty taking on Toner, winning in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Ambrosio continued his dominance at No. 3 singles as he breezed through Goldstein in their matchup, 6-3, 6-1.
Edwards gave Rozenstein a challenge in the No. 4 singles match, forcing a tiebreak in the first set, but Rozenstein ultimately proved to be too much for Edwards, 7-6 (5), 6-2.
Fresh off the Flight "C" title at the Quinnipiac Invitational, Roser continued his impressive performance on the court as he defeated Andrew Ginzberg in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) played for the Bobcats in the No. 6 singles match and improved his impressive record to start the year to 14-1 in singles after defeating McEntee in their three set match, 5-7, 6-3. 10-4.
