All-Time Against the Wildcats
New Hampshire owns the All-Time series with Quinnipiac with an 8-1-1 record. The Bobcats lone win against the Wildcats came last season with New Hampshire's trip to High Point Solutions Arena which the Bobcats won 2-1. Kelly Babstock scored the game-tying goal in the second period before Morgan Fritz-Ward netted the game-winner in the third period. The Bobcats; however, have never won at New Hampshire as they are 0-5-0 all-time. Quinnipiac lost 5-2 in their last trip to the Whittemore Center Arena, which saw Nicole Kosta and Brittany Lyons score for the Bobcats.
Scouting the Wildcats
The Wildcats come into Friday's matchup with a record of 2-4-1 and are 2-1-1 in their last four games. Last time out, the Wildcats lost to the Boston College Eagles 4-0. The Eagles scored two goals in the first and third periods on their way to the win, while Lexi Bender and Alex Carpenter each tallied a goal and an assist. New Hampshire's two wins have come against Rensselaer and RIT, coming by scores of 2-1 and 1-0, respectively. The Wildcats also skated to a 2-2 tie with the Syracuse Orange. Leading the offense for the Wildcats is Jonna Curtis, who's tallied three goals so far this season and Amy Boucher who has two. Kayla Mork has handed out the most helpers with three while Haley Breedlove has one goal and two assists. New Hampshire's offense has scored just nine total goals in seven games. Defensively, the Wildcats are anchored between the pipes by Vilma Vaattovaara who has started and played in every game this season. Vaattovaara has a 1.99 GAA average allowing just 14 goals all season while making 213 saves for a save percentage of .938. Vaattovaara has allowed four goals in a game twice this season, once at Ohio State and once at home against Boston College.

Last Time Out
Quinnipiac picked up its first season sweep up of the season as the Bobcats defeated the Maine Black Bears 4-0 and 2-0. The two shutouts increased Chelsea Laden's shutout streak to four consecutive games to start the season, a total of 239:56 in game time. Laden recorded 20 saves on the weekend, including 13 in Friday's 4-0 win. Taylar Cianfarano led the offense on the weekend with three goals, including two in the 4-0 win. Two of Cianfarano's three goals on the weekend were game-winners as she continued her hot start to the season. Emma Woods, Erica Uden Johansson and Nicole Connery each also scored in the sweep for Quinnipiac. Kristen Tamberg had three assists, including her first career two assist game while Nicole Brown also tallied her first career two assist game.
Weekly Awards
Chelsea Laden was named the ECAC Women's Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week this week after her two consecutive shutouts against the Maine Black Bears. It extended her nationwide, season best shutout streak to 239:56 to start the season. Laden has been named Goaltender of the week three other times, all coming last season for the Bobcats. She also was named Rookie of the Week once as freshman in 2011-12.
Taylar Cianfarano also was tabbed with a weekly award, as she got named ECAC Women's Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week after her top performance on the weekend. Cianfarano scored the most goals out of any player in the conference as she tallied three goals, including two game-winners for the sweep of the Black Bears. Friday marked Cianfarano's first career multi-goal game and second career multi-point game in just her first five games.
In the third regular season poll of the 2014-15 season, the Bobcats were ranked 7th in both the USCHO.com Division I Women's Poll as well as the USA Today/USA Hockey Women's College Hockey Poll. Quinnipiac leapfrogged Mercyhurst after a sweep of Maine. Other ECAC teams ranked in the Top 10 of the USCHO poll are Harvard (No. 4), Cornell (No. 5), and Clarkson (No. 10). In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, other ECAC ranked teams are Harvard (No. 4), Cornell (No. 5) and Clarkson (No. 10).
A Different Shade of Blue and Yellow
Erica Uden Johansson has been added to the Swedish National Team's roster for the Four Nations Cup this November to be played in Kamloops, British Columbia. Uden Johansson last suited up for the Sweden in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia, where she tallied one goal in the Bronze Medal game against Switzerland. Uden Johansson and Sweden face Canada at 10 P.M. (EST) on Nov. 4, Finland at 5 P.M. (EST) on Nov. 5 and lastly will face Shiann Darkangelo and the United States on Nov. 7 at 4 P.M. (EST).

Taylar Cianfarano leads the Bobcats with six points in five games so far this season. She has tallied five goals, including three game-winning goals in that same span. The only other Bobcats to ever record five goals in their first five games are Kelly Babstock and Erica Uden Johansson, who each reached the feat during 2010-2011 season. Cianfarano has one multi-goal game and two multi-point games to her credit, and one of the top starts in program history.
Assisted Development
Nicole Brown and Kristen Tamberg tallied career highs in assists this past weekend, as both recorded their first two-assist games of their careers. Brown achieved the feat on Friday in the 4-0 win when she assisted both Emma Woods' and Erica Uden Johansson's goals in the game. Tamberg reached the mark less than 24 hours later when she had the only assists on both goals in the 2-0 win against Maine on Saturday. Tamberg added one more assist on Friday night to total a three assist weekend and take over the team lead in the category.
Denied
Chelsea Laden has not allowed a goal yet to start the 2014-15 season through her first two starts. Laden's four shutouts are good for first in the nation, while her save percentage and goals against average both are also first in the nation. Through her first four games, Laden has 39 saves on the season as the defense has done a spectacular job of limiting offensive opportunities.
Firsts of the Year
Erica Uden Johansson and Emma Woods netted their first goals of the season in Friday's 4-0 win over Maine. Both Uden Johansson has tallied one goal and two assists while Woods has one goal and one assist this season. Added to their career totals, Woods has now record 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 career points while Uden Johansson is up to 33 goals and 41 assists for a grand total of 74 points.
Outshooting the Opposition
Quinnipiac has had a distinct advantage over opposing offenses this season as they have outscored their opponents 13-1 in the first five games of the season, including 7-0 in the second period. Overall, the Bobcats have recorded nearly four times as many shots as their opponents, outshooting them 206-57 over the span. The Bobcats are averaging just over 40 shots per game, and have reached that mark in three consecutive games.
