Women's Golf Places Three In Top 20 At Monmouth's Hawk Invitational

Senior Kayla Ketcheson (St. Andrews, Manitoba) was tied for 12th while freshman Jenn Whaley (Avon, Conn.) and Krissy Unger (New York, N.Y.) were both tied for 20th as the Bobcats finished the first day of Monmouth University's Hawk Invitational in sixth place out of nine competiting teams.

LIU Brooklyn led the field at 328 (+40) while Siena sat in second place at 332 (+42). Monmouth (338, +50), Hartford (341, +51) and Fairleigh Dickinson (344, +56) rounded out the top five in front of Quinnipiac (346, +58). The Bobcats finished ahead of Wagner (373, +85), St. Francis (N.Y.) (377, +89) and Holy Cross (401, +113).

Ketcheson was second among all golfers with two birdies for the day on her way to a +1284. The Bobcats' captain also carded six pars for the day - good for the fourth most among the 54-player field. Unger and Whaley both shot identical 86's (+14) for the day. Unger shot eight pars for the day, the second most of all golfers at Jumping Country Club.
