
Women's Golf Finishes 12th Out Of 14 At ECAC Championship

Kayla Ketcheson (St. Andrews, Manitoba) led the Quinnipiac Women's Golf team at the 2011 ECAC Championship with an 80, the best 18-hole round in program history, on her way to a top-30 finish. Quinnipiac finished 12th out of 14 teams.
Ketcheson finished 28th out of a field of 69 golfers, the highest finish for a Quinnipiac golfer in a field of 50 or more golfers in program history. The first-year Bobcat was tied for 40th after the first day, but improved by seven shots on the final day of the tournament for a milestone day. Ketcheson finished the tournament at +23 with a 167.
Freshman Hannah Russell (Monson, Mass.) also improved on her previous day's total. After shooting an 87 on Sunday, Russell carded an 85 for a two-day total of 171 (+27) to finish in 43rd place.
Next up for the Bobcats is the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J. on Oct. 14-15.
