defender Nicole Palazzo is first on the team with three assists.
Freshman goaltender Alexius Schutt carries a .899 save percentage

All-Time Against The
Pioneers
Friday's contest will be the 10th time the two teams will
face each other, with Quinnipiac holding a 9-0-0 all-time series
lead. Earlier this season on October 10, the Bobcats defeated the
Pioneers, 5-0. Freshman forward Erica Uden
Johansson (Sundsvall, Sweden) recorded her first-career hat
trick on the evening, while freshman forward Kelly

second consecutive shutout.

lead. In their last meeting on November 27, 2009, Quinnipiac was

lone goal at the 15:07 mark of the first period to give Quinnipiac
a loss on the opening night of the Nutmeg Classic Tournament.

All-Time Against The
Bulldogs
While Yale leads the all-time series with a 12-4-2 record,
Quinnipiac has won the last two meetings. In their last contest on
February 19, 2010, Quinnipiac defeated Yale, 1-0, as senior forward
Kallie
Flor (Farmington, Minn.) netted the game's only goal at the
8:46 mark of the third period. Vigilanti made 17 saves on the
evening to record her sixth shutout of the season.
Last Time Out
Quinnipiac went 1-1 over the weekend in road contests
against Colgate on Friday, Nov. 19 and Cornell on Saturday, Nov.
20. On Friday, freshman forward Amanda
Colin (Burnsville, Minn.) scored her first-two career goals to
lead Quinnipiac in a 4-0 victory. Quinnipiac jumped out to a 2-0
lead in just a 16 second time span, as junior forward Jordan
Elkins' (Wasilla, Alaska) goal at the 2:25 mark of the second
period was followed by Colin's first goal at the 2:41 mark.
Vigilanti was solid in net, as she turned away 27 shots on the
afternoon. On Saturday, Quinnipiac surrendered four first period
goals in a 4-0 loss to No. 2 Cornell. With the win, Cornell
improved to 6-0 in conference play and 8-1 overall.
A.C. Powers Up
With her first two career goals against Colgate, Amanda
Colin became the fifth freshman to tally a score for the
Bobcats this season. She is now third on the team in freshman goals
scored.
Victory In Numbers
In Friday's victory over Colgate, Quinnipiac tied a
season-high mark, as eight different skaters earned at least one
point for the Bobcats.
Alaskan Assassin
Junior defender Jordan
Elkins (Wasilla, Alaska) scored her second goal of the season
on Friday, Nov. 19 against Colgate, surpassing her 2009 season
total of one goal. Elkins (five points) is second among defenders
on the team in scoring.
Lyons Chips In
Sophomore forward Brittany
Lyons (Canton, Mass.) tallied two assists against Colgate to
give her three goals and three assists on the year, good enough for
sixth on the team in total points.
No Babstock, No Problem
Quinnipiac collected its first victory of the season on an
afternoon in which Babstock did not score a goal. Overall, the
Bobcats are 8-1-0 when the Mississauga, Ontario native notches a
score and 8-3-1 when she records a point.
Déjà Vu
Performance
With two consecutive hat trick performances on Friday,
Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 13, Babstock became the first skater in
Quinnipiac women's ice hockey history to record two hat tricks in
the same season. At the time, the six goals propelled her into the
NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey lead in goals scored (13) and
total points (27). She remains the nation's leader in points and is
now tied for fourth in goals scored.
Simply Unbelievable
In just 14 games played, Babstock accumulated more points
this season than Quinnipiac's two highest point getters during the
2009-10 season, in which both Janine
Duffy and Heather
Hughes each scored 25 points in 37 games played.
History In The Making
Babstock is quickly approaching the all-time records for
all three major offensive categories at Quinnipiac. She is just two
goals away from tying Hayley McMeekin's 2006-07 15 goal season, and
two assists away from tying Jennifer Maclean's 17 assist season set
in that same 2006-07 year. McMeekin also holds Quinnipiac's
all-time points record with 30, which Babstock is just three points
away from tying.
Three-Way Tie
Babstock remains tied with Quinnipiac women's ice hockey
all-time freshman record of 14 assists, set by both Vicky Graham in
2003-04 and Heather
Hughes in 2009-10.
National Scene
Babstock remains atop the leader-board nationally, as her
1.69 points per game ranks her second in the country among all
freshman skaters and is good for 14th in the nation. She ranks 13th
in the country with .81 goals per game and 17th in the country with
.88 assists per game. Babstock also leads the country with five
game-winning goals. Atop ECAC HockeyBabstock's dominant numbers
have her first in six statistical categories in the ECAC. She leads
the ECAC in points (27), goals (13), assists (14), power-play
points (three goals, six assists), game-winning goals (5), and is
first among freshman scorers.
Wheeler's Positive
Contributions
Junior forward Kate
Wheeler (Oakville, Ontario) is quietly having a terrific
season, as she is tied for second on the team in points with 13
(six goals, seven assists), and is just one point away from tying
her personal record of 14 points in a season, set in 2009-10.
Wheeler is also tied for third in the ECAC in assists and is second
in the league with a plus/minus of plus-13.
