
Bucknell Defeats Women's Tennis In Spring Opener, 5-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. Sophomore Lisanne Steinert (Glauchau, Germany) won both of her matches, but the Quinnipiac women's tennis team was defeated by Bucknell, 5-2, in the Bobcats' spring opener Sunday. Mary Wilson (Greensburg, Pa.) also earned a singles match for the Bobcats, who fall to 0-1 for the season.
Steinert defeated Dara Dwojewski, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 4 singles while also pairing with Natalie Duckor (Tustin, Calif.) to defeat Paulina Gamboa and Carlin Calcaterra, 8-4, at No. 2 doubles. Wilson defeated Gamboa, 7-5, 4-6, 10-6, at No. 1 singles.
The Bobcats return to action, Feb. 7, when they play host to future NEC foe Bryant. Matches are set to begin at 3 p.m.
