A three-year member of the baseball squad, Bob Valus played for Quinnipiac teams that posted a record of 32–11 from 1959–61. In his first season, Valus hit .396 with 16 runs batted in for Quinnipiac. A year later, he batted .346 with 17 RBIs. For his career, Valus had a .350 batting average.
