Missy Seymour earned team MVP honors for the first Quinnipiac women’s basketball team in 1976–77. The school’s leading scorer (12.4 points per game) and rebounder (10.4 rebounds per game) as a senior captain, Seymour led Quinnipiac to its first winning season in 1978–79 with a 16–5 record. She also earned the team MVP and defensive player awards. Seymour also starred for the first Quinnipiac softball teams in 1976 and 1977. A starter in both seasons, she scored a team-high 20 runs in 1977 and stole 11 bases to rank seventh on the single-season list.
