Linda LoPresto

Linda LoPresto, a four-year starter for the softball team, was a member of the first team from Quinnipiac to reach the NCAA Tournament in 1981–82. LoPresto hit over .450 as a freshman with a fielding percentage of .900 at third base. She was named tri-captain as a senior and earned all-New England honors as a junior and senior. She drove in 22 runs as a senior for a team that finished 32–20 and defeated Springfield College, 5–4, in the decisive game of the ECAC Championship. Upon graduation, LoPresto was a member of the 1985 American National Softball Team. An accomplished bowler, LoPresto qualified for the U.S. Bowling Team in 1994. LoPresto, who bowled a perfect 300 game, was named Bowler of the Year for both New Haven County and the state of Connecticut in 1995.
