James Hanscom

Jim Hanscom was Quinnipiac’s best player during the infancy stages of the ice hockey program. He is third in all-time points with 192, fourth with 83 goals and second with 109 assists. Hanscom led Quinnipiac in scoring each of the four years he played, earning team MVP honors during both his junior and senior seasons. His 22 goals in 1978–79 rank him tied for ninth, while his assist totals of 30 in 1976–77 and 28 in 1979–80 rank him tied for seventh and tenth respectively. Hanscom also excelled as a four-year starter on the men’s soccer team. Hanscom was voted team captain and best defensive player in 1979–80.
