A two-year captain for the Quinnipiac softball team, Donnalee Savitz was an AllNew England and All-American player. During a stretch from 1979–82, she helped the team to a 68–16 mark. As a senior, she guided Quinnipiac to a second-place ranking in New England and fifth in the nation. She ranks second in school history with 17 home runs. Savitz also paced the club in batting average in three of four seasons.
