WGolf Selected First in Preseason Poll

EDISON, N.J. — The Quinnipiac women's golf team was selected to finish first in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the league announced on Thursday, Feb. 13th.
In the annual polling of the league's coaches, the Bobcats were slated to finish one spot above their finish last season. Quinnipiac received four first-place votes for 58 points, just two points ahead of the reigning MAAC champions, the UAlbany Great Danes.
MAAC newcomer Sacred Heart received one first-place vote and 43 total points as they came in third in the poll. The second MAAC newcomer, Merrimack, finished with 40 points and came in behind Sacred Heart.
Fairfield was picked fifth, and Mount St. Mary's received a first-place vote but were ultimately picked to finish sixth. Rounding out the preseason poll were Siena (24 total points) and Niagara (12 total points).
