WEST POINT, NY – Quinnipiac men's tennis returns to action this weekend, competing in the ITA Northeast Division I North Regional Championship at the United States Military Academy.
The singles quarterfinalists and doubles semifinalists will qualify for the ITA Northeast Super Regionals. The singles champion, runner up, and doubles champions from the super- regional event will earn an automatic berth to the 2022 ITA National Fall Championships.

WEST POINT, NY – Quinnipiac men's tennis returns to action this weekend, competing in the ITA Northeast Division I North Regional Championship at the United States Military Academy.

BOBCATS DOWN LIU
- Quinnipiac men's tennis took the match vs. LIU on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 2) in Port Washington, NY, as they won 4 singles matches after being down 2-0. The Bobcats used two tiebreakers to beat the Sharks.
- Ayato Arakaki, Shaurya Sood, Donovan Brown, and Csanad Nyaradi picked up the singles wins for the Bobcats.
- The Bobcats won four total double matchups on Day One of the Fairfield Invitational.
- The pairs of Donovan Brown / Ayato Arakaki, Andreas Whalen-Merediz/ Csanad Nyaradi, and Kemal Karagozoglu / Csanad Nyaradi earned the wins for Quinnipiac.
- On Day 2, QU won six singles matches across 12 total
- Donovan Brown and Csanad Nyaradi each won a pair of singles matches.
- Quinnipiac won two singles matches and four doubles matches on the final day of the Fairfield Invitational.
- The Bobcats went 4-2 in MAAC play last year (8-12 overall), advancing to the MAAC Tournament title contest vs. Monmouth.
- The Bobcats defeated Siena, 4-3, in the semifinal round of the tournament.
- QU has advanced to the title match of the MAAC postseason tournament in three of the last eight years. The Bobcats also made it to the MAAC finals in 2014-15 and 2018-19.
- Ayato Arakaki and Donovan Brown earned All-MAAC First Team status at the #2 doubles position to lead the way for the Bobcats. Shaurya Sood (#3 singles), Donovan Brown (#6 singles) and Javier Cassasolas/Shaurya Sood (#1 doubles) were all named to the All-MAAC Second Team.
- Bryan Adinolfi has been announced as the new head coach of the Quinnipiac University Men's Tennis program on Wednesday, Sept. 21. Adinolfi holds over 20 years of coaching and teaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels.
- Prior to Quinnipiac, Adinolfi has served as the Director of Tennis at the Madison Beach Club located in Madison, Conn. There he held oversight over all operations of the club, including coordinating events, court maintenance, organizing and running clinics, etc.

- The Bobcats are set for five events this fall, starting with the Fairfield Invitational (Sept. 23-25).
- Quinnipiac will then turn its attention to the ITA Regionals at Army (Oct. 7), before heading to Providence for the Brown Fall Invite (Oct. 15 & Oct. 16).
- The ITA Super Regionals are in Cambridge, Mass. (Oct. 21-24), then QU will complete the fall semester at the Connecticut State Championships (Oct. 28-30) in New Haven.
