Bobcats Host Four Clinics Through Summer and Fall
- QUINNIPIAC FIELD HOCKEY CLINIC HOMEPAGE
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac field hockey is hosting multiple clinics throughout the summer and fall hosted by the Quinnipiac field hockey coaching staff at the state-of-the-art Quinnipiac field hockey field.
The clinic set for July 24th is a full-day clinic open to players of all skill levels while the clinics on August 17, September 15 and October 5 are geared to developing elite field hockey players.

Bobcat Full-Day Clinic | Wednesday, July 24 | 9 AM – 3 PM
The Quinnipiac University Bobcat Full-Day Clinic is designed to develop field hockey athletes of ALL levels by teaching passing, tracking and shooting skills establishing the best base for each athlete's field hockey skillset; any age or skill level welcome. Team tactics, small games, goalkeeping, and competitive matches allow team members to sharpen their tactical skills, focus their intellectual energy and work together in attack and defensive transition. The clinic is developed to mold players in all aspects of the game and allow the staff to get to know each player a little bit better than during our shorter clinics. The clinic is coached by Quinnipiac Head Coach Becca Main, her staff, and Quinnipiac's Division I athletes. Athletes are initially organized in groups by sport level and age and will be encouraged by an environment focused on enhancing their total field hockey game. Our camps and clinics include a goalkeeping-specific curriculum devised for keepers of all levels. Goalkeepers with receive one-on-one attention from Bobcat associate head coach and goalkeeping specialist, Nina Klein who is a member of the U.S. Women's Developmental Team. During this portion, goalkeepers will learn fundamental game-play skills as well as specialty skills including: logging, worming, split-saves, half-high saves, and aerial saves. The camp includes personal video review and creates player synergy, while also emphasizing top-level field hockey to meet each players aspiration level.

Bobcat Ultra Day Clinic | Saturday, August 17 | 12 – 4 PM
The Quinnipiac University Bobcat Ultra Day Clinicis designed to develop elite field hockey athletes by teaching elevated passing, tracking and shooting skills, team marking and zone defense, and establish the best base for each athlete's field hockey goals. This clinic is for TOP-LEVEL hockey players of all ages. Team tactics, small games, goalkeeping, and competitive matches allow team members to sharpen their tactical skills, focus their intellectual energy and work together in attack and defensive transition. Each clinic is different and is mirrored after a real Bobcat Division I practice plan. The clinics are coached by Quinnipiac Head Coach Becca Main, her staff, and Quinnipiac Bobcat players, with personal attention being given to each athlete. Athletes are initially organized in groups by sport level and age and will be encouraged by an environment focused on enhancing their total field hockey game.
