ABOUT THE ITA ORACLE MASTERS
- In just four years of existence, Oracle ITA Masters has established itself as one of the premier events in all of collegiate tennis. The 2018 singles tournament will once again feature 32-player singles brackets on the men's and women's side, with invitations sent to one man and one woman from each Division I conference. The singles champions will earn an automatic entry into the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which take place in Surprise, Arizona from Nov. 7-11.
- Sophomore Dominique Vasile (Bingham Farms, MI) returns to the Bobcats after an impressive freshman year. She was named 2017-18 MAAC Player of the Year and MAAC Rookie of the Year, and was selected to the First-Team All-MAAC team at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles. Vasile finished 17-5 in singles during 2017-18, leading the program in win percentage.
- Vasile is 2-2 in singles play so far this year, while also earning a victory in doubles play. She earned both a single and doubles win in Flight A action during last weekend's Quinnipiac Invitational in Hamden.
- The Bobcats are coming off their fifth-straight MAAC Championship in 2017-18, posting a perfect 7-0 record in regular season conference action. Quinnipiac finished the 2018 MAAC Championship with two singles victories 15 seconds apart, lifting the program to a 4-1 win over Marist at the Mercer Country Tennis Center on April 29, 2018.
- The Bobcats have participated in the Stony Brook Invitational and the Quinnipiac Invitational so far in 2018-19.
