HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team opened up the 2018 season Friday afternoon with a challenging matchup against the No. 13 Boston College Eagles, falling 7-0 at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium.

1:25 (BC 1, QU 0): The Eagles' Fusine Govaert got the scoring started after receiving a long pass from the back and making a move to beat Quinnipiac freshman goalkeeper Alicia Galasso (Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania)
7:24 (BC 2, QU 0): Govaert recorded her third point of the game as she picked up an assist with a pass to Elizabeth Warner
8:29 (BC 3, QU 0): Brooke Matherson scored the Eagles' third goal in the first 10 minutes
