
QU Men's Ice Hockey's Games Against Cornell and Brown To Be Televised On SNY

HAMDEN, Connecticut - Quinnipiac Athletics has announced the addition of two men's ice hockey games to its television package for the 2015-16 season. The nationaly-ranked No. 1/2 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team's ECAC Hockey match-ups against Cornell on Feb. 5 and Brown on Feb. 26 will be available live on SportsNet New York (SNY), where available. The Bobcats' tilt against Yale on Feb. 27 for the 14th Annual Heroes Hat will also be televised on SNY.
The Bobcats are currently 19-1-3 overall and 10-0-2 in ECAC Hockey play andare currently NCAA Division I men's ice hockey's top team in the PairWise Rankings, while also ranking No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and No. 2 in the USCHO.com Poll The Bobcats lead second-place Cornell by eight points, with four more league games played than the Big Red. Cornell and Quinnipiac met earlier this season, which resulted in a thrilling, come-from-behind 5-4 overtime victory for the Bobcats at Lynah Rink.
The Bobcats also faced Brown earlier this year, topping the Bears, 3-0, in Providence. Feb. 26 will feature Senior Night festivities, in which Quinnipiac will honor Soren Jonzzon, Travis St. Denis, Michael Garteig, Jacob Meyers and Tom Hilbrich for their careers. Through Jan. 9, this year's class has accumulated 96 career wins - the most among all NCAA Division I programs since the beginning of the 2012-13 season.
In addition to the national-ranked men's ice hockey program, women's ice hockey will also make an appearance on NESN when it visits Harvard on Jan. 29. The Bobcats are currently riding a 15-game unbeaten streak (13-0-2) and are ranked No. 4 in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Polls as well as the PairWise Rankings.Quinnipiac men's and women's basketball can also be seen live on SNY as well as ESPNU and ESPN3 as part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference television package.
