The Quinnipiac University field hockey team will travel to Hempstead, New York to take on Hofstra University in a non-conference match-up on Friday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 PM. The Bobcats enter the weekend with a record of 2-6 overall while Hofstra is 6-3 on the season.

SCOUTING THE HOFSTRA PRIDE
- Hofstra hosts the Bobcats with a record of 6-3 after defeating Fairfield, 3-2, on Wednesday, Sept. 23 for its fourth consecutive win.
- Claudia Marin Samper leads Hofstra with eight goals – including a marker in Wednesday win against Fairfield, while Stella Schoen has found the back of the cage seven times.
- Marin Samper has also accumulated a team-high five assists for the year to give her 19 points in eight games.
- Schoen had two assists on Wednesday to give her three assists for the year to go along with her seven goals for 17 points.
- Schoen was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week after a two-goal performance in a 3-2 win against UMass Lowell last week.
- Simca Schoen has scored three goals, while assisting on three more, for eight points while Samantha Schlegel (4) and Colby Hussong (3) give the Pride five players to score multiple goals to date.
- In goal, Carys Swan is 5-3 with a 2.21 goals-against average and a .684 save percentage.
- As of Sept. 24, Quinnipiac has played the 11th toughest schedule in NCAA Division I field hockey as its opposition has posted an overall record of 33-20 (.623).
- They are the only Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team to have played a schedule where its opposition has posted a winning record. Siena, with the second toughest schedule in the MAAC, has faced competition that has compiled a 24-26 (.480) record.
EASY DOES IT
- Moving forward, Quinnipiac will play the eighth easiest schedule in the nation as all future opponents have tallied a 28-49 (.364) record.

- Accounting for past and future opponents, no MAAC team will play a schedule in which its opposition compiled a .500 or better record; to date, Quinnipiac's combined opposition is 61-69 (.469), highest among all MAAC schools.

- Angie King's program-record 10 defensive saves this season rank 1st nationally, while Lauren Belskie ranks fifth with three.

- Megan Conaboy's 7.29 saves per game rank 9th nationally and second in the MAAC.
- Conaboy also ranks 2nd in the MAAC in save percentage (.718) and 27th nationally.
RESPECT THE STREAK
- Michelle Federico currently boasts a five-game point streak – the longest of the year for the Bobcats- in which she has scored two goals and assisted on four more for a team-leading eight points.
SOMETHING ABOUT PLAYING IN HAMDEN…
- With a goal against Holy Cross on Tuesday, Savanna Reilly is now tied with Michelle Federico for the team-lead with two goals to date.
- Both of Reilly's goals have come on the Bobcats' home turf which is in Reilly's hometown of Hamden, Connecticut.
- Quinnipiac will host Vermont on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 12 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats' tilt against the Catamounts will be an IMaGinE Game of Emphasis in which all student-athletes are encouraged to attend.
