QU Baseball Sends 14 Players to College Summer Leagues Around North America

HAMDEN, Connecticut – Quinnipiac baseball head coach John Delaney has announced that 14 Quinnipiac baseball players will be competing in various summer college baseball leagues around North America. The Bobcats 14 players is the most players in summer collegiate baseball leagues in program history.
Thomas Jankins (West Brookfield, Massachusetts) highlights the 14 Bobcats playing summer baseball as he will play with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Jankins is the first Bobcat to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League since Chris Gloor played with the Falmouth Commodores in 2008.
The Bobcats will also send five player to the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, four players to the New England Collegiate Baseball League and two players each to the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League and the Northwoods League.

Quinnipiac is coming off a 29-27 in which they finished Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference League play with a 15-9 record. The Bobcats' 15-9 record led to a third place finish in the MAAC Regular Season standings just behind the Rider Broncs and Canisius Golden Griffins. Jankins, Batten , Palladino, and graduated seniors Scott Donaghue (Marlboro, New Jersey) and Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Connecticut) were all named to the All-MAAC First Team while Jankins and Guglietti were named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team.
