HAMDEN, Connecticut – Quinnipiac field hockey head coach Becca Main and the rest of her staff have announced the addition of five players from all over the nation and the world joining the Bobcats for the 2015 fall season. The incoming class includes: Rachel Foley (Davis, California), Kyla Johns (Darien, Connecticut), Kendall Nickel (Flemington, New Jersey), Selina Reichert (Lower Hutt, New Zealand) and Hannah Teicher (Bethesda, Maryland). The five committed players join Camryn Dias (Hopedale, Massachusetts), who joins Quinnipiac as a gray shirt athlete in the 2015 Spring semester, to make up the Bobcats' six-member Class of 2019.
The forward and midfield positions were emphasized in this class as five of the six Class of 2019 members have experience controlling the action in the midfield and scoring goals on the forward line. In addition to Dias being Quinnipiac field hockey's first gray shirt athlete - graduating high school early and joining the roster in the Spring semester - Foley (California) and Reichert (New Zealand) are the first student-athletes to join the field hockey program from each respective hometown.
