QU Baseball's Vincent Guglietti Named Top 10 NECBL Prospect by Baseball America

DURHAM, N.C. - Quinnipiac baseball's senior first baseman Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Conn.) has been named the No. 7 prospect in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) by Baseball America after a great summer with the Plymouth Pilgrims.
Guglietti continued his success with the Pilgrims for a second straight summer after a breakout spring with Quinnipiac. Along with being named the No. 7 prospect in the NECBL, he was named the Most Improved Player, All-NECBL Second Team, and Southern Division All-Star by the league.
Guglietti ranked near the top of the league in most offensive categories and was one of three players to play in all 42 regular season games. He batted .303/.363/.486 with an OPS of .849 and was tied for second in the league in home runs (7), tied-third in runs scored (27), tied-second in hits (53), tied-fourth in doubles (9), and second in RBI (38).
In the playoffs, the Pilgrims advanced to the NECBL Southern Division Championship where they lost the series to the league champion Newport Gulls 2-1. Guglietti played in all five playoff games where he batted .364, with four doubles, two RBI, five runs scored and drew two walks.
The Bobcats will compete in the City Series on Oct. 10-11 in a tournament between Quinnipiac, Yale, the University of New Haven and Southern Connecticut State University at Yale Field in New Haven, Connecticut.
