Bobcats Resume Play In 2011
The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team (13-6-1) (6-5-0
ECAC Hockey) resumes ECAC Hockey action when it travels to Hobey
Baker Rink to face Princeton (7-10-1) (4-6-1 ECAC Hockey) on
Monday, Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. The Bobcats, who have not played since
Saturday, Dec. 4, look to extend their four-game win streak as they
embark on the second half of season play.

University
Princeton, which
is currently riding a season-high four-game winning streak, is
coming off a dramatic upset victory over No. 5 Boston College, 3-0,
on December 31, 2010. In the contest, junior forward Julie Johnson
scored two goals for the Tigers, while freshman forward Sally
Butler notched her team-high seventh goal of the season. With 12
points, Butler (seven goals, five assists) trails freshman forward
Olivia Mucha (five goals, eight assists) for the team-lead in
points, while senior forward Sasha Sherry is third on the squad
with 10 points on the year. Junior goaltender Rachel Weber, who
earned her third shutout on the season in the victory, holds a 1.93
goals against average and a .921 save percentage on the
year.

Monday's contest
against Princeton will be the 13th time the two sides
will face each other, with Princeton owning a 1-9-2 all-time series
lead. In their last meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, Quinnipiac
earned its first-ever win against Princeton, 5-2. After falling
behind 2-0 early in the first period, the Bobcats scored five
unanswered goals en route to its first ECAC Hockey victory of the

Boulton (Brandon, Manitoba) scored two goals in the contest,
while senior forward Kelley
Davies (Chesapeake, Va.), freshman forward Kelly
Babstock (Mississauga, Ontario), and sophomore forward Brittany
Lyons (Canton, Mass.) each tallied one goal in the
game.

Quinnipiac last
played on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, against Yale when it defeated the
Bulldogs 3-1. The Bobcats scored a goal in each period in the win,
as the squad stretched its winning streak to four games. Freshman
forward Erica Uden
Johansson (Sundsvall, Sweden), junior defender Jordan
Elkins (Wasilla, Alaska), and Babstock all scored in the
contest. In the first game of the weekend on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010,
against Brown, Quinnipiac shutout the Bears 4-0. Sophomore
goaltender Victoria
Vigilanti (Woodbridge, Ontario) made 17 saves to earn her fifth
shutout of the season. In the contest, Babstock broke Quinnipiac's
single-season goals scored record with her 16th of the
year.

Roll
Quinnipiac is in
the midst of its second longest winning streak of the season, after
it began the 2010-11 campaign with five straight wins. Its victory
over Yale improved Quinnipiac's ECAC Hockey record to 6-5, the
first time all season the Bobcats have had a winning record in
conference play.
Goals Galore
The Bobcats have
scored 63 goals thus far on the season for a 3.15 goals per game
average. Quinnipiac leads ECAC Hockey in goals scored and is second
in goals per game, trailing only Cornell, which holds a 4.36 goals
per game average.

Quinnipiac's 23.1
power play conversion percentage is good for second among ECAC
Hockey teams and is tied for third overall in NCAA Division I
Women's Ice Hockey.

Quinnipiac has

which is sixth-best in NCAA Division I Women's Ice
Hockey.

Babstock
Babstock continues
to dazzle the opposition with her offensive talents, as she has
registered 17 goals and 19 assists on the season thus far. She
ranks first in goals, assists and points among ECAC Hockey skaters
and is second in the league with a plus-21 mark. The freshman leads
all NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey skaters in points and is
first in the country with six game-winning goals.

Excellence
The freshman
phenom has been recognized on six separate occasions for her
remarkable play during the season. She is a four-time ECAC
Hockey/MLX Skates Rookie of the Week award winner, as well as a
one-time Player of the Week recipient. After she accumulated 10
goals and five assists in the month of November, Babstock was
awarded Quinnipiac's Female Athlete Of The Month.
Protecting The
Net
The sophomore
goaltender is third among ECAC Hockey netminders with a 1.73 goals
against average. She ranks first in the league with 450 saves and
is second in win percentage with a .658 mark.
Dymarczk Puts Up
Healthy Numbers
Junior defender Bethany
Dymarczyk (Hamden, Conn.) continues to be a scoring threat from
the blue line for the Bobcats this season, as she has collected
three goals and 11 assists on the year. Dymarczyk is tied for
second among ECAC Hockey defenders in total points (14), which
ranks fourth overall on the team.

Boulton (Brandon, Manitoba) is tied for fifth in scoring (seven
goals, four assists) among ECAC Hockey defenders. Her seven goals
leads all Quinnipiac defenders and her 11 points overall are
fifth-best on the team.

Johansson (Sundsvall, Sweden) ranks third in three separate
statistical categories in ECAC Hockey action. She is tied for third
in goals (eight), assists (11) and points (19). Her 1.06 points per
game ranks her eighth among NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey
freshman skaters.
Line
'Em Up
Quinnipiac's
potent first line, consisting of Babstock, Wheeler and Uden
Johansson, is one of the best in the country. Together, the
threesome has accumulated 31 goals and 41 assists, while posting an
astounding plus-54 mark. Wheeler and Babstock rank first and second
among ECAC Hockey Skaters with a plus-22 and plus-21 mark,
respectively.
