Women's Soccer Program Hosts Female Coaches Clinic On Sunday Mar. 28
3/25/2010 12:00:00 AM | Women's Soccer
The clinic is free to any interested female coaches working with recreation, youth, travel, premier or high school teams and will give the participants the opportunity to work with some of the state's top coaches. The clinic will be run by Coach Clarke and he will be joined by his assistant coaches, Stephen Coxon and Lauren Rosario. Together, the three coaches bring in an extensive coaching résumé, as all currently coach in the Connecticut Football Club program, and Clarke and Coxon hold United States Soccer Federation licenses. Clarke has also coached at the national level, assisting with both the United States and Irish National teams.
The goal of the clinic is to provide a forum that will promote female coaches currently working with teams and to encourage more women to get involved in coaching. Members who attend the clinic will be given the opportunity to attend regular clinics, receive regular newsletters and attend Quinnipiac University women's soccer games and practice sessions.
The clinic will follow the Bobcats' spring season game against Marist, which is set to start at 4 p.m. on Sunday evening.
For further information on the clinic contact head coach Dave Clarke at 203-582-5315 or via e-mail at dclarke@quinnipiac.edu.
