
Men's Tennis Defeated By Fairleigh Dickinson, 7-0

HAMDEN, Conn. The Quinnipiac men's tennis team was defeated by Fairleigh Dickinson, 7-0, Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats played several close matches, but were defeated in all of them. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 3-5 (0-1 NEC), while the Knights improve to 6-5 (1-0 NEC).
"I think we played well at times and we need to continue to work on learning to finish the job," said Quinnipiac head coach Mike Quitko.
Brian Mikkelson (Mequon, Wis.) and Tom Curran (Fairfield, Conn.) each forced a third set in their respective singles matches, while Joe Nuara narrowly missed forcing a decisive set, falling in the second, 7-6.
The Bobcats return to action tomorrow morning when they play host to Hofstra. Matches are set to begin at 10 a.m.
