Tara Thibeault was a twoyear captain for the inaugural field hockey team. A two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team pick in 1996 and 1997, Thibeault was also a National Field Hockey Coaches Association First Team All-American. In 1997, she was nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award and selected to the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game. She also was tabbed the team’s Most Valuable Player twice, as well as an NFHCA Academic All-American and the Quinnipiac Female Athlete of the Year in 1998. Thibeault returned to serve on the coaching staff, helping the Bobcats to two NEC Championships.
