A four-year member and twoyear Captain of the Golf Team, Bob Proto was the individual medalist in the New England District NAIA Tournament in 1960 and 1961, after placing second individually in 1959. Proto also won the New England Public Links title. He remains active in golf, winning the Greater Philadelphia Senior Amateur Championship in 2001.
