Bob Martino was a four-year pitcher for Quinnipiac varsity baseball. In 1965, Martino posted a .0755 ERA, which ranked him fourth in the nation. He pitched a 1–0 shutout over New Haven College, the first time in 69 games NHC had been shut out. In 1966, Martino pitched Quinnipiac to a District 32 Chamionship with a solid 1.72 ERA for the season.
