A four-year member of Quinnipiac’s basketball team from 1958–1962, Phil Donofrio was a two-time MVP of the NAIA qualifying tournament. Named team captain for his senior season in 1961–62, Donofrio was the recipient of the Steck Award after leading the team with 15.5 points per game. One of 26 men’s basketball players at Quinnipiac to score over 1,000 career points, Donofrio is ranked 23rd all-time with 1,035 points.
